How it files a guitar
You don't have to know the spec sheet
Type the model, or point the camera at the headstock, and CAPO fills in what he can — pickups, switching, string count, factory tuning, the serial off the plate. He looks it up once, shows you what he found, and you have the last word on all of it.
Then he uses it
Name a song and the settings come back for the guitar in your hands — which pickup, how far to roll the tone off, whether it wants retuning — and if another guitar you own would get you closer to the record, he says which, and why. That is the write-up in the picture above, unedited.
When he isn't sure, he says so
Anything he can't establish he leaves blank rather than guessing. A confident wrong answer about your own guitar is worse than an honest question.
