ManifesTone is made by Bigsoft LLC ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the apps, the plugin and the service behind them. Like the privacy policy, this is written to be read rather than to be impressive.
The short version. Make an account, buy rig builds if you want more than the free ones, and use what the app gives you however you like — the rigs it builds are yours, including commercially. What CAPO produces is its best reading of a record, not a fact. The captures come from TONE3000 under their makers' licences, and those licences ask for credit. Cancel wherever you bought. Don't abuse the service and we won't take it away from you.
Using the service means accepting these terms
If you don't agree with them, don't use ManifesTone. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and old enough for the store you downloaded from.
Your account
You can try ManifesTone without an account. You need one to build a rig, because a build is metered and has to be counted against something. Keep your email secure — sign-in codes go there, and anyone with access to your inbox can get into your account.
One account is for one person. You can use it on all your own devices — that's the point of it following you from the phone to the plugin — but don't share it around.
What you're actually buying
A rig build is one credit. When you name a song and CAPO searches, reasons and assembles a chain, that's a build. Adjusting a rig afterwards, saving it, loading it, swapping a capture, or playing through it costs nothing — you can talk to your tech and tweak all day on a rig you already have.

Every platform — iPhone, iPad, Android and the VST3 / AU plugin — is included. The plugin is not a separate purchase. Current prices are on the pricing section of the home page; if we change them, the price you are already paying stays until your subscription renews.
Monthly build allowances are for that month. Packs you buy outright do not expire, and neither do the welcome builds on a new account.
Where you bought it is where you manage it
ManifesTone can be bought in three places, and that decides who is billing you.
- On iPhone or iPad — Apple is the seller. Manage or cancel in your Apple subscription settings.
- On Android — Google is the seller. Manage or cancel in Google Play.
- On the web — Stripe handles the payment as merchant of record. Manage or cancel from your account page.
It is one entitlement either way: buy on the web and your iPhone unlocks, buy on iPhone and the plugin unlocks. We never see your card number wherever you buy.
Refunds
If Apple or Google sold it to you, refunds are theirs to give and their policies apply. For a web purchase, write to support@manifestone.app and if something went wrong we will sort it out. If a purchase is refunded, the credits it granted are removed.
If the service is broken and you paid for builds you could not use, tell us. We would rather give you the builds back than argue about it.
Bringing your own key
You can put your own Anthropic API key in Settings and have builds run on your account instead of your monthly allowance. If you do:
- Your key lives in your device's keychain. It passes through to Anthropic when you build and is never stored, cached or logged by us.
- Anthropic's own terms and pricing apply to that usage, and the bill is yours.
- Guitar slots still follow your plan.
The captures belong to the people who made them
ManifesTone does not host a capture library. You sign in with your own TONE3000 account and captures download onto your device under it. Your library on TONE3000 is your library in ManifesTone, and TONE3000's own terms apply to it.
Every capture carries the licence it was published under and the name of the person who made it. Most are CC-BY, which asks for credit when you release something. Any rig will hand you its credits as plain text for exactly that reason. If you tell the app a session is commercial, captures that aren't licensed for it are kept out of the rig — but the licence terms are between you and the maker, and honouring them is your responsibility.
What CAPO gives you is a starting point
CAPO reads a record and tells you what it thinks was used. It is a well-informed opinion produced by an AI, not a fact and not an official account of how anything was recorded. It can be wrong, and where it is unsure it says so rather than guessing. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
The rigs it builds are yours. Use them on records, on stage, on streams, commercially, however you like — subject to the capture licences above.
Your content
The guitars you file, the rigs you save, the photos you add and the notes you write stay yours. We store them so they follow you between devices, and the privacy policy covers what we do with them, which is very little.
You are responsible for what you put in. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to.
Publishing a rig to the shared library
Publishing is optional and off by default. If you choose to publish a rig, you are asking us to show it publicly, so you give us permission to display and distribute that rig — its chain, its settings, its credits and the short write-up describing it — inside ManifesTone and on this site. You keep ownership, and you can unpublish at any time.
Your private notes and the settings for your own guitars are not part of a published rig.
Fair use of the service
Don't:
- Automate, script or resell builds, or work around the metering.
- Share one account between several people.
- Try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or lift the capture library wholesale.
- Publish anything to the shared library that is illegal, abusive, or not yours to publish.
If someone is doing real damage we may suspend their account. If it's an honest mistake, we'll email first.
Gear names
Amplifier, cabinet and pedal names describe what a capture is of. Bigsoft LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any amplifier, pedal or instrument manufacturer, and no trademark owner has sponsored this product.
Changes, and ending it
We may change these terms as the product changes. If a change actually matters we will say so in the app or by email rather than quietly editing this page. Carrying on using ManifesTone after a change means accepting it.
You can stop at any time — cancel where you bought, and delete your account whenever you like. We can end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give notice and refund unused time on an active subscription.
No warranty
ManifesTone is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available, that a build will always succeed, or that a rig will sound the way you hoped. It depends on your device, your gear, your playing and on services we don't control — TONE3000, Anthropic and the app stores among them.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Bigsoft LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost recordings, lost gigs, lost time, lost profit. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
