What it is
The rig: @deathblossomaudio's DIEZEL VH4 through @anodized12's Diezel V30 / SM57 cab — the VH4 has been Bellamy's main channel-3 crunch since Absolution — with @outmodedelectronics' ZVex Fuzz Factory Vexter cranked out front, which is the pedal actually built into his Manson and the thing that makes the big chorus chords and the solo spit and tear. Gate at -48 dB to keep the fuzz quiet between stabs, a slight mid dip with lifted lows and highs for that glassy-but-huge Muse width, a quarter-note delay low in the mix for the solo, and a small touch of room.
On the Charvel: bridge humbucker, both controls wide open for the riff and chorus — the Fuzz Factory needs full output to bloom properly. For the solo, flick the coil-split on the bridge: the thinner, spikier signal is much closer to Bellamy's single-coil-ish Manson bite and stops the fuzz turning to mush up high. Roll the guitar volume back to about 7 for the clean-ish intro figure and let the fuzz stay engaged — that's how he gets the gate-y sputter.
