What it is
The lead was right ... I kept it and just gave it a speaker.
- Amp: @matteocapuni's Marshall SV20H (Studio Vintage = the 100W Super Lead plexi Jimi lived on), through @outmodedelectronics' Marshall 1960TV 4x12 Greenback + SM57 IR. The capture turned out to be DI despite its name, so the cab was the one thing missing.
- Fuzz: @danielnguyen's Sunface RCA Germanium Fuzz in front, drive high ... that's a Fuzz Face clone, exactly the pedal on the record, and on this song the fuzz is the tone.
- Wah: added, because Voodoo Child is unplayable without it. Envelope mode so it follows your picking with no treadle ... classic cry Q, high sensitivity.
- EQ: gentle lift in the lows and highs with the mids kept up (plexis are mid-forward, and that's the point).
- Reverb: small hall, low mix, 20 ms predelay. Delay parked OFF on a footswitch ... 380 ms for the outro solo if you want it.
The chain
Signal order, in front of the amp first. Every block is a real capture of real gear — somebody else's work, named here, and downloaded on your own account. Nothing here is a model of a model.

Add it to your rigs and it shows up everywhere you use ManifesTone — on your phone, and in the VST3 / AU plugin in your DAW. Or start from nothing: name a song and let it build you a rig of its own.
