What it is
The clean side of "The Offering" is that cold, glassy, heavily-ambient arpeggio, so I built it around @tone3000's Roland JC-120B Jazz Chorus capture ... a full-rig capture with the original silver-cone speakers baked in, so no separate IR (that solid-state glass is exactly the bed those Sundowning cleans sit on). No drive in the clean signal; instead I parked @blaze's Mind Abuse high-gain distortion before the amp on a footswitch for the heavy sections, plus a noise gate switched off alongside it ... fair warning, that gets you in the neighbourhood but the real riff tone is a 5150/Recto-class amp and deserves its own rig.
Effects: a slow two-voice chorus (0.45 Hz, mix 0.28) for width, a 460 ms delay at moderate feedback with the repeats darkened, and a big damped hall at 45% with 25 ms pre-delay so the notes stay in front of the wash. A gentle RMS compressor evens out the arpeggios, and the EQ trims the lows and 300 Hz (an 8-string will mud that reverb up fast) with a lift up top for the chime.
The chain
Signal order, in front of the amp first. Every block is a real capture of real gear — somebody else's work, named here, and downloaded on your own account. Nothing here is a model of a model.
