What it is
The whole riff on this one is fuzz-first: Dan Auerbach's Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz (a Super-Fuzz circuit, cranked — the dirt is the tone here, so it's set high) slamming a barely-broken-up Marshall JTM45, which lets the pedal's gated, octave-y snarl stay front and centre instead of getting smeared by amp gain.
Chain: @romainstdr's BOSS FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz → @slamminmofo's Marshall JTM 45 capture → @wendycabs' JTM-45 Greenback 4x12 cab. EQ scoops 300 Hz to clear the cardboard out of the fuzz, pushes 750 Hz and 2 kHz for that nasty El Camino midrange bark, and shelves the very top down a touch so it doesn't fizz. A gentle gate (-56 dB, slow release) tames the fuzz hiss between stabs without clipping the sustained chords, and just 12% of a small dark room keeps it garage-tight rather than roomy.
The chain
Signal order, in front of the amp first. Every block is a real capture of real gear — somebody else's work, named here, and downloaded on your own account. Nothing here is a model of a model.
