What it is
The lead was right, so I kept it whole. Black Dog wasn't a wall of amps ... Page went into a Helios desk through an 1176 limiter, which is exactly what this chain is: @ripper's Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959 into @outmodedelectronics' Greenback 1960TV 4x12 with an SM57 on it, then @dahmanmusic's 1176 (color-only, clean) sitting after the amp to squash and thicken it the way the record does. EQ is +3 in the mids with a touch of low and top ... that snarly midrange is the whole riff. Small room reverb at 13% for glue, and a 310 ms delay parked off on a footswitch for the solo.
You're in E standard and so is the song, so nothing retuned.
On the Telecaster: neck humbucker, full (not split), tone rolled to about 8 ... that gets closest to the fat Les Paul bridge tone driving the riff; flip to the bridge single-coil for the sparse verse answers where you want the pick attack. If you want it properly right, the Gibson Explorer's bridge humbucker is the closer match to Page's Number One and it's already in E standard.
The chain
Signal order, in front of the amp first. Every block is a real capture of real gear — somebody else's work, named here, and downloaded on your own account. Nothing here is a model of a model.
